- Clinical application of regenerative medicine
- Promoting research in cooperation with industry, academic and government organizations
- Business support provided by Kobe Urban Promotion Service Co., Ltd. based on funding from the government (Japan Regional Development Corporation), City of Kobe and private companies
- Management: Foundation for Biomedical Research and Innovation
- Construction of all facilities completed in March 2003
